Winpdb is a platform-independent GPL Python debugger with support for multiple threads, namespace modification, embedded debugging, and encrypted communication. According to the [http://www.winpdb.org/ project website] , it is up to 20 times faster than pdb. It consists of a graphical front-end based on the wxPython GUI framework and a back-end also known as RPDB2. One or both of these components are used in several python IDEs such as Stani's Python Editor (SPE), PythonWin, and PIDA (RPDB2 only).
