- Lindley M. Fraser
Lindley Macnaghten Fraser (1904-1963) was educated at the Liverpool Institute High School and at
Balliol College ,Oxford . He was treasurer, librarian and president of theOxford Union Society from 1925 to 1926. He went toPrinceton University andWashington as a visiting fellow from 1926 to 1928, and returned toOxford as fellow in economics at Queen's College (1928-35). Then, he became Jaffrey professor of political economy atAberdeen University (1935-45).Lindley Macnaghten Fraser was also introduced in the
broadcasting industry as ajournalist . He wasBBC German news commentator (1940), and head of the German and Austrian Services (from 1946).Bibliography
