Melbourne between 1987 and 1992. Their peak came in 1991 with the success of the song "Where Are You Now", which peaked at #13 on theARIA Charts . Their style used melodic keyboards with guitar-driven hard rock and elements ofglam metal .They formed in 1987 in the southeastern suburb of Springvale, and gained a considerable live following. In 1989, they played support to international bands Poison and
Bon Jovi on their Australian tours. The band came to the attention of promoter Ian (Molly) Meldrum, who signed them to hisMelodian Records label. Roxus subsequently supported Warrant, and in 1990, they released a live EP with the tracks "Stand Back" and "Body Heat". They became known for black leather, bandannas and ripped jeans. In 1991, their album "Nightstreet" was released, and was to reach #7 on the
ARIA Charts . In April, they released thepower ballad Where Are You Now, which received considerable radio airplay and peaked at #13 on the ARIA charts and #11 on the AMR charts. In August, they followed up with "Bad Boys", which reached #39, and in December, "Midnight Love" was released. In early 1992, Stanić and Roxas travelled to
Los Angeles to write new songs, and in 1993, they released the single "Almost Summer". The single went almost unnoticed, and the band dissolved. Juno Roxas subsequently went solo and recorded the album "Far From Here" on Melodian in 1994. In the time since, Roxas has worked as a musician and producer in both Los Angeles and Melbourne. Stanic continued playing locally in a range of projects, while Danielson and Nixon joined the bandChocolate Starfish . Shanahan became anRMIT lecturer.Discography
