Joe Montana and the 49ers franchise would cement their reputation as the best of the decade. The 49ers opponents in the NFC Championship Game were the wildcard champion Los Angeles Rams. The 49ers would go on to face the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXIV.NFL Draft
