"Italia's Next Top Model" is an Italian reality television show based on the American program of the same name which is broadcast on the Italian subscription television channel Sky TV. It began airing in December 2007.
The presenter is the Russian top model and actress Natasha Stefanenko, who is very popular in Italy and equals the role of Tyra Banks as the head of the search in the original series. The other three permanent judges are Micheal Giannini, artistic director and talent scout of model agency D’Management, photographer Ciro Zizzo and Carlo Pignatelli.The winner receives a one-year-contract with D’Management Group as well as a spread in italian Elle.Several well known faces from italian model industry made an appearance on the show such as Giusy Ferrè, Danda Santini (editor of italian Elle), Cristina Parodi, Gentucca Bini, Francesco Martini Coveri, Roberto Cavalli, Carlo Pignatelli, Settimio Benedusi, and the ex-topmodels Randy Ingermann and Nadège,.

Gilda Sansone emerged victorious, with Elga and Lorena being the first and second runner-ups, respectively. Getting signed with New York based agency Muse, Sansone enjoyed success in the model business in the year of her win working with well-known artists such as photograph Annie Leibovitz.

The second Cycle started in September 2008 with a recap episode of the casting throughout several italian cities where 20 semifinalists were selected who then have been reduced to the 14 finalists after the first photoshoot in front of the shows logo.
