Pre-elementary
The Long Beach City School District has one pre-elementary level school located in Lido Beach. The school is known by and named after the street on which it is located, Blackheath. The central Administration Building is located on Lido Blvd. in the same complex that houses both the Lido Elementary School and Long Beach Middle School. Most district offices are located here.
Transportation
The Long Beach City School District owns and operates its own school buses, housed in a garage complex on Lido Blvd. Buses are provided for all schools, both public and private, within the district and within 15 miles of the district; however, students living within 1/4 mile of elementary school, 1/2 mile of the Middle School, and 1 mile of the high schools are not provided with transportation (the City of Long Beach bus service and local taxi services are used by some of these students).
