Malware Alarm

Malware Alarm is a rogue Anti-Spyware developed by SS Development that poses as a legitimate anti-spyware which installs itself onto your PC through the Zlob trojan. Method of Infection/Variants

Malware Alarm may be download by the Zlob trojan. When executed, it may run false scans for Spyware and give exagerated claims about its finds, in order to persuede the user to purchase the product. [http://ca.com/us/securityadvisor/pest/pest.aspx?id=453113983] . Due to the deep infection of this application, it is suggested that users not attempt to remove this infection manually. Symptoms of infection

In a typical infection, the desktop wallpaper may be modified and advertisements are displayed urging the user to buy Malware Alarm. Upon clicking on the message, When you click on the warning box on your screen Malware Alarm opens their site and may attempt to install more adware on the target pc without your consent.

Removal

AntiVirus Gold is detected in many common Anti-Virus programs, including CA Antispyware, the Norton Family of Security products, SmithFraudFix, and Malwarebytes Anti- Malware. As always, a user should only use verified Anti-Virus Programs.
