"Shockwave" is a documentary television series on The History Channel that compiles video footage and eye witness accounts to the headline making events and attempts to educate the viewer as to what really happened in a particular event. It is a combination of Spike TV's World's Most Amazing Videos, National Geographic Channel's Seconds from Disaster and Situation Critical, mainly because many of the videos and accidents have been featured on these shows, sometimes with more detail (United Airlines Flight 232, USS "Forrestal" fire, Killdozer, Mount Hood hiking incident, Ramstein airshow disaster, etc.). The toolbox of resources which the show employs to perform this task include (but are not limited to) the following items:

*Videos
*Photos
*3D Renderings of the event
*Eye witness accounts
*Participant accounts

The show premiered on 2007-11-30. Each show has typically three to six stories and for each story (or event), people who witnessed the event or who were involved in the event are interviewed, video & photos of the event are shown, and 3D Renderings of the event are shown.
