Mountain Shadows Middle School was a middle school in Rohnert Park, California, United States, one of three in the Cotati-Rohnert Park Unified School District. It was formerly known as Rohnert Park Junior High School. At the end of the 2009-2010 school year, the District closed Mountain Shadows and transferred its graduating 6th- and 7th-graders to the newly formed Lawrence E. Jones Middle School.

The 2005-06 student population consisted of:[2]

  • Grade 6: 335 students
  • Grade 7: 279 students
  • Grade 8: 286 students

Mountain Shadows Middle School used to feed into Rancho Cotate High School. It featured an Expeditionary Learning (ExL) program for students. In 2003, it was named a California Distinguished School.[3] Its mascot was the Ram.
