Cornelius W. "Neil" Kelleher was the mayor of Troy, New York. He was elected to the New York State Assembly in 1966, and served 13 terms. He was appointed to the New York State Board of Elections in 1998.[1] On September 4, 2008, he died. He was 85.[2]
Kelleher was a United States Navy combat veteran, having served in the South Pacific during World War II.
Kelleher's son, Neil J. Kelleher, is the chairman of the Rensselaer County Legislature.[3]
