Andrew Reilly (born April 9, 1946 in
New York City ) is an American actor and director. His acting credits cover film, theater, and television, including the filmsChances Are ,Why Me? , and3 Men and a Little Lady and shows such asDivorce Court andPointman . Reilly began as an amateur in community theater productions before deciding in middle age to pursue acting as a career, receiving hisMaster of Fine Arts degree from theUniversity of South Carolina . A trainedShakespearean actor, he has played Montague inRomeo and Juliet , Norfolk in Richard III, Worcester inHenry IV , Cornwall inKing Lear , and Antigonus inThe Winter's Tale .As a teacher, Reilly has given lectures throughout the
United States and inRussia , and was the recipient of a Rotary International Fellowship to study French theater at theSorbonne inParis . His book, "An Actor’s Business" (Sentient Publications, 2004), presents his experienced perspective on the world of professional acting. He is currently developing a program called “Language Learning Through Drama” to complement hisMaster’s degree inTESOL .Bibliography
