George Pataki (R-NY). On October 4, 2007, the United States Senate confirmed Judge Mauskopf by unanimous consent. [Id.]Prior to her appointment, Judge Mauskopf served for approximately five years (2002-2007) as the
United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, overseeing a staff of nearly 200 attorneys. Before that, Judge Mauskopf had served as theInspector General of the State ofNew York from 1995 to 2002. [Id.]Judge Mauskopf began her legal career in 1982 as an
