Rashakai is a small town located along the

The town gained importance in 2007, when an interchange of the M1 Motorway was constructed here. The Rashakai interchange serves as the closest for

Before 2007, the small town of Rashakai was famous for its cloth market. It was and still is the larget cloth market in the province of NWFP (but not very well known in other parts of Pakistan).
Economy
Economic activity mainly consists of providing fuel and services to vehicles entering the M1. For this purpose a number of service stations are located at Rashakai, that provide
petrol ,diesel andCNG to vehicles. The stations also provide maintenance and washing services, but they are limited. The second main activity is the cloth market that has been located at Rashakai for many years.
