Under The Sun Studios is a performing arts center, with an integrated music, improv, and theater arts school, performance space, and retail store. Primary curriculum is divided into 3 departments: Music, Acting, and Improv.

Music Department

The Under The Sun Studios music program is based around the essential instruments in a modern rock ensemble: guitar, electric bass, drums, piano, keyboards, and voice.

Acting/Theater Department

The Under The Sun Studios acting program is based around acting for the stage with plans to expand into film acting, voice-over work, and other related disciplines.

Improv Department

The Under The Sun Studios improv program is based around emotional truth and space object work and is geared towards producing serious work, in both short form and long form. This is in contrast to stand-up comedy, sketch work, and one-liner work.

Performance Venue

The Under The Sun Studios facility has an integrated performance space, which hosts its student recitals, concerts, performing arts productions, and most notably, the ongoing performances of Rumor Has It Improv Troupe.

Retail

Under The Sun Studios is an authorized retailer with Hal Leonard, Alfred Publishing, Musicorp, Kaman Music, St. Louis Music and many other sheet music and music accessory vendors.

Company history

* In June of 2007, Under The Sun Studios was founded in Concord, California, focusing primarily on presenting modern music curriculum.
* In August of 2007, Under The Sun Studios began developing Improv curriculum for all levels.
* In December of 2007, the company opened their retail department, with plans to expand to online retail.
