Jarrod Scott Rogol is the Assistant Director of Player Personnel, Offensive Assistant Coach, and Special Teams Coach of the af2 Amarillo Dusters.

Football Start

Jarrod began his football career at Parkway West High School in Chesterfield, Missouri were he played RG, RB, and LB. Freshmen year the day before the team's first game against rival Parkway South, Jarrod broke a bone in his hand that prevented him from getting clearence to play in the team's first 6 weeks.

Soph. year, he moved to RB and LB where he enjoyed getting to knock people to the ground.

Jr. year, Jarrod had a lot of issues with his family that prevented him from giving everything to football. After the season he was also forced to switch schools to Webster Groves High School in Webster Groves, Missouri. Because of the switch, he lost the chance play a SR. season, but did work with the WGHS Statesmen athletic trainer off and on so he could still be around the game.

Missouri Western State University

Prior to graduating from Webster Groves High School in Webster Groves, Missouri, Rogol contacted several D-I, D-II and D-III football programs about wanting to go into coaching and too see what doors were open. After talking with Jay Bubak then Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach, he decided that Missouri Western State University was the best place for him to be.

Rogol was with the Griffons for the 2001 season where he helped coach Bubak with drills, attended different film sessions with DB's and Special Teams. During his time with the Griffons, Rogol worked with 2007 af2-All Team selections Pierre Thomas Jonathan Schoonover. Andre Burns and Scorpio Horn were also bother part of the Griffons during that season that would go on to play in af2.

RiverCity Rage

Rogol was attending Pittsburg State University when he contacted then Rage General Manager and Head Coach Mike Wyatt about doing a possible internship with the team. In the winter of 05' the two met after Wyatt invited Rogol to attend an open tryout that the team was holding in Chesterfield MO, about 10 minutes from where Rogol lived. After visiting with Wyatt as well as some of the current players, Rogol decided that he would work with the Rage after school was over in May.

When he came to the Rage, he assisted Wyatt with football operations and handled media relations.

During the 2006 season, the Rage maed it into the playoffs and lost to the Fayetteville Guard in the Atlantic Conference Championship Game.

Lutheran St. Charles Cougars

In the spring of 2006, Jarrod met the Cougars head football coach and the rest went from there. Jarrod was hired as the Special Teams and Running Backs Coordinator for Varsity-FR. Rogol is now in his second season with the program.

United Indoor Football

At the end of the 2006 season, Wyatt left the Rage and moved back to Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Other coaches left as well and then Rogol left. The Rage franchise also left the National Indoor Football League (N.I.F.L) for the UIF.

After leaving the Rage, prior to the 2007 season, Rogol became the Player Development Coordinator for UIF. The main part of his job was to scout all levels of college football as well as semi and professional football to find the best talent and recommend the talent to the UIF teams. UIF coaches signed a total of 12 players whom he recommend and 6 of whom made the jump to af2 for the 2008 season. *Note: 1 player whom he scouted (WR, Bryan Pray) was not picked up by a UIF franchise but did play for the Toronto Argos (CIFL) in 2007 and joined an af2 franchise for 2008.

Amarillo Dusters

On Jan. 16, 2008, the Amarillo Dusters announced that Rogol was hired by the team for the 2008 season. Rogol's kicker Jacob Felton finished the season ranked 1st in PAT Pct., and the dusters FG Defense finished 6th in MFG Returns.

Personal

Jarrod Rogol resides in Ballwin, Missouri, and enjoys watching National Lacrosse League games, Ultimate Fighting Championship, and other sports such as snowboarding and basketball.
