National Amateur Cup Current season or competition:
2008 National Amateur CupSport Soccer Founded 1923 Country(ies) United States Most recent champion(s) Boston Olympiakos The National Amateur Cup is an American soccer competition open to all amateur teams affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF)
In 1923, USSF established the National Amateur Cup in response to the increasingly large number of teams entering the open National Challenge Cup. The 1923 competition was played up to the semi-finals. However, these were never held due to incelement weather. While USSF originally managed the competition, that responsibility is now held by the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
