National Express East Anglia . All services are operated bydiesel multiple unit s of Classes 153, 156 and occasionally 170.ervice
There is an hourly service daily towards Ipswich westbound and Felixstowe eastbound. At Ipswich passengers can connect with trains to
London Liverpool Street .Trimley used to operate two platforms for passengers; one for each direction of service between Felixstowe and Ipswich. However, the southern platform was decommissioned in the late 1980s and all services now operate from the one, northern platform.
Between previous station 'Derby Road' and 'Trimley' was a station called 'Orwell'. Now closed, but the station house is occupied and can be glimpsed through the trees especially after dark when it can look quite eerie. The Orwell Goods yard is also fairly obvious as a large clearing in the forest just south of the old station.
