Frank Valentine Weston

Frank Valentine Weston (16 September 1935 – 29 April 2003) was Bishop of Knaresborough from 1997 [Crockfords London, Church House 1998 ISBN 0715180890] until his death.

Born into a clerical family [ [http://anglicanhistory.org/weston/weston2.html His uncle was Bishop of Zanzibar] ] , he was educated at Christ's Hospital and The Queen's College, Oxford [Who's Who 1992 London, A & C Black, 1991 ISBN 0713635142] (BA 1960, MA 1964). He was first Assistant Curate in Atherton [ "Debrett's People of Today": Ellis,P(Ed): 1992, London, Debtrett's ISBN 1870520092] (1961-65). London, Church House Publishing, 2001), p. 803] Then began an association of more than twenty years with the College of the Ascension at Selly Oak, initially as Chaplain (1965-69) and then as Principal (1969-76). London, Church House Publishing, 2001), p. 803] From 1973 until 1976 he was also Vice-President of Selly Oak Colleges and from 1976 until 1982 Principal and Pantonian Professor at Edinburgh Theological College.
