Thomas Christian Johnson (
February 18 ,1928 –November 21 ,2007 ) was a Canadianprofessional ice hockey defenceman who played for theMontreal Canadiens andBoston Bruins in theNational Hockey League . He was born in Baldur,Manitoba .Johnson was also the recipient of the
Norris Trophy in 1959. He was inducted into theHockey Hall of Fame in 1970.He won the
Stanley Cup as a player with Montreal in 1953, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959 and 1960 and once as a coach with Boston in 1972 and once as assistant general manager of the Boston Bruins, a position he held for over 30 years.Johnson died of
heart failure at age 79 inFalmouth, Massachusetts .Awards and achievements
