E. J. Stoneman Generating Station is a coal fired, electrical power station located in Cassville, Wisconsin in Grant County.

Purchased by WPS Resources in 1996 from the Dairyland Power Cooperative, there have been a few attempts to repower the facility, but the site is located next to the Cassville Municipal Airport presenting problems with additional stacks. In 1997, a 300-500 MW natural gas facility was proposed for the site. ["Power Plant Wants To Expand Capacity". Judy Newman Business reporter. "Wisconsin State Journal". A.3] As of 2008, the airport remains open and the power plant remains 53 MW. However, there are plans to repower the facility, which is mothballed, with a 300 MW coal plant. In May 2008, DTE Biomass Energy, a subsidiary of Michigan-based DTE Energy, agreed to buy the Stoneman plant from Integrys Energy Group, with plans to convert it to burn wood waste in 2009.
