Star Trek (Shatnerverse Novels)

In the late 1990s William Shatner (Kirk of Star Trek TOS) wrote 10 such books and nine of them team himself up with Enterprise E's Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Here is the details for each of the 10 (Released so far) books.

The Ashes Of Eden

Kirk, Enterprise-less and getting older contemplates leaving Star Fleet. An encounter with a Romulan/Klingon mixed young lady brings purpose back in his life and a new route to follow. But to do this, he must decide NOW if he is to leave Star Fleet and follow his new path. Things fall into line too easily. Though Captain Kirk is blind to it, his friends question his decisions and question whether he is being played the fool.

The Return

Second book in the series, and the first to be set in the "Star Trek : TNG" era universe. Through a combination of Borg technology and Romulan brainwashing, villains revive James T. Kirk and program him to assassinate Captain Picard. This book takes place after (shortly after Stardate 48680).

Avenger

In the 4th Kirk written novel , Kirk and Spock are reunited and they work together to stop a virus that could destroy the quadrant. At the same time Enterprise E Captain Jean-Luc Picard is also infected as well as CMO Beverly Crusher thus leaving Will Riker in temporary command.

Spectre

An alternate Spock crosses over from the 'Mirror' universe seen in TOS, DS9, and the less popular 'Enterprise' shows...

Dark Victory

In the 6th Kirk / Picard novel , Jim Kirk faces off with his counterpart in the Mirror Universe. This novel is set after Stardate 52000.0 and continues after the conclusion of Star Trek Dark Victory.

Captain's Peril

Stardate 55595.4 - This novel is set after Star Trek Insurrection and just prior to Star Trek Nemesis

Captain's Blood

Stardate 57465.6 - This novel is set almost a year after Star Trek Nemesis. At this point, Kathryn Janeway is Vice Admiral of Starfleet and Will Riker has settled in as Captain of the U.S.S. Titan. Kirk is also found to be serving on board the U.S.S. Bel Reave.

Stardate 58552.2 - Set almost a full two years after Star Trek: Nemesis.
