They exclusively play alternative Christian music across all genres, with the most played including pop-rock, hard rock, punk, and hip-hop, as well as occasional emo, electronica/dance, and hardcore/metal. The station is accessible worldwide through their website and can be seen through their music TV station, TVU, available on Sky Angel Satellite Network.

RadioU is a non-profit organization and is funded completely by listener donations. Their major pledge drive, known as Unleash the Music, is performed twice a year and works to raise enough money to keep on their air for the next six months as well as expand RadioU nationwide (worldwide through free streaming at RadioU.com).

From RadioU.com::RadioU is an FM radio station in Columbus, Ohio which also provides its programming via satellite to a network of radio stations nationwide. RadioU is owned and operated by Spirit Communications, Inc., a 501(3) non-profit organization, which also operates TVU Music Television, and its Website, TVULIVE.COM.

:Spirit Communications launched RadioU in 1996, and TVU Music Television in 2001. The company's 24/7 radio and television programming is available to radio stations and cable systems nationwide; through Sky Angel's direct-to-home DBS satellite system; and online at RADIOU.COM and TVULIVE.COM. The programming targets 12-24 year olds with a message of hope and encouragement through an eclectic mix of popular music. The music and programming promote anti-drug and anti-violence messages, while upholding positive lifestyle messages to its student-age audience.

:RadioU provides solid, uplifting alternatives to other radio programming aimed toward high school and college-age students. RadioU works closely with The HelpLine, a call center organization that provides prayer and referral services to those in need. Spirit Communications’ non-commercial FM radio station in Columbus, Ohio also provides airtime to other non-profit organizations, hosts and promotes events each year to reinforce its positive lifestyle messages among area students, has produced a series of high school assemblies focused on drunk driving issues, and is an active voice for public service to the area.

:RadioU plays no paid-for commercial advertising, receives no state or federal government funding, and is not owned by a large corporate broadcasting company. Operating expenses are covered by donations received from the public.

The morning show, The R!OT, airs from 6:00am to 9:00am Monday-Friday and is hosted by Obadiah and Nikki. Saturday mornings air "The Worst of the R!OT" which recaps topics and interviews from the previous weeks show. Aside from playing music, The R!OT is known for having guest interviews, the question of the morning, Battle of the Buzz Recap, R!OT Control, website of the week, ponys in the studio, and morning news and traffic hosted by Nick.

I.R.S. (Instant Request Service)

Battle of the Buzz

The Battle of the Buzz, airing at 6:05pm Monday-Friday, plays two new songs, known as Buzztracks, against each other and has listeners vote over the phone or online at http://tvulive.com/radiou/buzz.shtm to determine which song will win and go on to the next round. The winning Buzztrack then goes on to face a new challenger the next day.

TMW (Ten Most Wanted)

The Ten Most Wanted, otherwise known as TMW, airs at 10:00pm and is hosted by Jared. The TMW is composed of the ten most requested songs of the day, which is determined by listeners calling in or submitting their vote for the TMW online at http://tvulive.com/radiou/tmw.htm.

RadioU Hardcore

RadioU Harcore, sometimes referred to as HXC, airs Fridays at 11:00pm and is hosted by Jaddeus. As the name would imply, RadioU Hardcore plays all hardcore music as well as interviews with hardcore bands. RadioU Fusion
