The electoral district was created in 2003 from
Surrey Central and some ofSurrey North riding.Member of Parliament

Member of Parliament (MP) isNina Grewal , a former sales manager. She was first elected in the 2004 election. She represents theConservative Party of Canada . She serves as the Vice-Chair on the Standing Committee on the Status of Women. Her husband,Gurmant Grewal , was also a Conservative MP but stepped down in 2005.Election results
