Jerusalem in March of2005 . Among 14 songs, Maimon's song "Hasheket Shenish'ar" was chosen by the television viewing audience via televoting, combined with 5 juries' voting. With 116 points, Maimon was announced as the official Israeli representative for theEurovision Song Contest 2005 inKiev . The song is a very powerfulballad , and Maimon is regarded as asinger with a beautiful strong voice and good performance. The song is classified as apower ballad .The song deals with Maimon's realisation that her lover has been unfaithful and her decision to leave him as a result. She seems unsure about what to do next and muses on "the silence that remains".
