Load file

Load file

A load file in the litigation community is commonly referred to as the file used to import images and/or coding into a database. Load files are usually ASCII text files that have delimited information with the location of images on a CD/DVD or hard drive and coding information extracted from e-discovery or coded manually. Some database programs take one load file for importing images and another for importing coding while others take only one load file. [OCR] for a database can also be imported into some database programs via the same load file or a separate load file. Commonly used databases and file extensions: Summation (DII), Concordance (OPT,DAT), Sanction (SDT), IPRO (LFP), Ringtail (MDB) and DB/TextWorks (TXT).
