Kokkini or Kokini (Greek, Modern: Κοκκίνι), older forms: -o and -on also with the second a accented is a village in the western part of the island of
Corfu , it is the municipal seat ofParelioi . Its 2001 population was 733 for the village. Kokkini is located west of the city of Corfu, north-northwest ofArgyrades . Several hills dominate the area and farmlands cover the area.Population

After
World War II and theGreek Civil War , most of the population partly left for larger towns and cities especiallyPatras . Most of the buildings were not damaged. The population remained steady since the mid to late 20th century. Houses were stone-built until the 1950s and did not surpass modern-style homes until the 1980s. Its population experienced growth from 1981 and experienced a booming population that lasted until the early to mid 2000s and was shortly a boomtown.Other
