Tatsuhiro Oshiro (born 1925) is an Okinawan novelist and playwright. He was awarded the Akutagawa Prize in 1967 for his novel The Cocktail Party (Kakutera Pati, 1967).[1] Oshiro has also been an innovator of the traditional Ryukyua kumiodori.[2] Two of his plays are Umino Tenzakai ("Celestial-sea Horizon") and Hingire, Niibichi ("Escape, Marriage").
