Chaminda Hettiarachchi

Chaminda Dilhanake Hettiarachchi is an academic of Technology Management specialized in Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Sri Lanka. He has worked in industry, academia and consultancy in 15 countries in Asia and Europe for last fifteen years. In Sri Lanka, Chaminda has been teaching E-Business, Internet Marketing and Project Management to MBA programs at several Sri Lankan Universities and he worked as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Colombo, Sri Lanka. Chaminda Hettiarachchi is the current Associate Director at Regional Centre for Strategic Studies (RCSS), a premier "think tank" on regional studies in South Asia based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Chaminda's current research interests include Use of ICTs for Political Campaigning, Role of ICTs in Human Development of South Asia and Social Applications of Web 2.0 Technologies.,,[1][2][3]

Chaminda is a BSc (Eng.) graduate from University of Peradeniya,Sri Lanka in 1996 and he holds an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Pakistan in 2001 and also an MBA (Technology Management) from FHTE, Germany in 2002 . Chaminda has done his further postgraduate studies and research work in Pakistan, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain. Chaminda found Sri Lankan Diaspora Professional Association(SLDPA) in 2005 and he is presently the President and Executive Director of SLDPA. SLDPA is working with Sri Lankans all over the world for the nation building and development debate of Sri Lanka.
