Rubiton Stakes

The Rubiton Stakes is a Group 3 Australian Thoroughbred horse race held under Weight for Age conditions, for horses aged 3 years old and upwards, over a distance of 1100 metres at Caulfield Racecourse, Melbourne in January. Prizemoney is AUD$100,000.

The race is named for the outstanding sire and 1987 Cox Plate winner Rubiton.

1989 - 1991 was a Listed race
1992 onwards was Group 3 race.

1989 - 1996 the race distance was 1000 metres
1997 - 2005 the race distance was 1100 metres
2006 the race distance was 1000 metres
2007 onwards the race distance was 1100 metres.
