Hickling is a village [ OS Explorer Map OL40 The Broads. ISBN 0 319 23769 9 ] and a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk. The village is 22 miles south-east of Cromer, 20.3 miles north-east of Norwich and 137 miles north-east of London. The village lies 3 miles east of the Broadlands town of Stalham. The nearest railway station is at Worstead for the Bittern Line which runs between Sheringham, Cromer and Norwich. The nearest airport is Norwich International Airport.

The village is split predominantly into two parts, Hickling Green and Hickling Heath. Hickling Heath is the part which useually attracts the most tourists who come on boat trips and moor up at the marina there (often to go into the local pub; the "Pleasant Inn" a charming Suffolk Pink pub which stands out against the surrounding boat houses and looks across to the sailing club.
