"This Station is Non-Operational: Anthology" is a compilation by the now-defunct post-hardcore band At the Drive-In. It was released on May 24, 2005.

The compilation contains tracks chosen by former band members in an attempt to encompass the group's chronology, from inception to their split in 2001. While there are many notable track omissions, most of the band's EP and album releases are represented, along with a selection of seven tracks previously unreleased on an album or EP. The collection received much criticism for ignoring all records that came out before 1997, the EPs "Hell Paso" and "Alfaro Vive, Carajo!" and the debut album "Acrobatic Tenement".

Guitarist Jim Ward addressed the omissions, [http://www.punknews.org/article/20555] explaining that: "I was just adamant about certain things staying off it. There was just some stuff I wanted to stay special, like those early seven-inches. If you have them, then you have them because you were in a certain place at a certain time."

The "Special Limited Edition" comes as a two-disc set, with disc two as a DVD containing three videos ("One Armed Scissor", "Invalid Litter Dept.", and "Metronome Arthritis"), the "Operations Manual" electronic press kit, a discography, and a small collection of extras.

The name of the album was taken from a lyric in "One Armed Scissor".

New and unreleased material

The following tracks were previously unreleased on an album:

* "Incetardis" – from the "One Armed Scissor" single (2000)
* "Doorman's Placebo" – from ATDI/Aasee Lake split 7" single
* "Autorelocator" – from ATDI/Sunshine split EP
* "Rascuache" (Latch Bros. Remix) – original track from Vaya EP, remix from ATDI/Murder City Devils split 7" single
* "This Night Has Opened My Eyes" – cover of a song by The Smiths
* "Initiation" – live recording (original track from "Acrobatic Tenement") for BBC
* "Take Up Thy Stethoscope and Walk" – live recording (cover of Pink Floyd track) for BBC

The two live tracks were recorded in the same session, for BBC Radio's "It's the Evening Session" presented by Steve Lamacq, and were first transmitted in September 2000.
