Girov — Commune — Coordinates: 46°57′N 26°31′E / 46.95°N 26.517°E Country Romania County Neamţ County Population (2002)[1] 7,415 Time zone EET (UTC+2) – Summer (DST) EEST (UTC+3) Girov is a commune located 11 km east of Piatra Neamţ, Romania on the road DN15D (Piatra Neamţ - Roman), on the Cracău River valley. It is composed of nine villages: Boţeşti, Căciuleşti, Dăneşti, Doina, Girov, Gura Văii, Popeşti, Turtureşti and Verşeşti. It also included Băluşeşti and Dochia villages from 1968 to 2003, when these were split off to form Dochia Commune.
