Philip Gregory Wheeler (born December 12, 1984 in city-state|Columbus|Georgia) is an American football linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Colts in the third round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Georgia Tech.

Early years

Wheeler attended Shaw High School in Columbus, Georgia and was a student and a standout in football. In football, he was a four-year letterman, helped lead his team to a Georgia State Title as a sophomore, and as a senior, he was named as an Honorable Mention All-Region selection by PrepStar and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution named him as a first team Class AAAA All-State selection.
