tation troubles

On May 7, 2008; KGVL along with sister station KIKT were put under a criminal investigation by the Greenville Police Department regarding missing charity money. During the Fall of 2007, the United Way of America in Hunt County, Texas held their annual "Clothe-a-Child" charity, and the stations conducted "one or more" fundraisers in connection with that charity. However, the United Way claims they never received any money. Parent company Cumulus through an attorney has launched their own internal investigation. Two weeks later, the former General Manager of the Greenville-area Cumulus cluster was charged with theft of services not related to the "Clothe-A-Child" charity case.
