Ernst Østrup

Ernst Vilhelm Østrup (1845-1917) was a Danish botanist and algologist, mainly working on diatoms.

The diatom genus "Oestrupia" H. Heiden and the species "Diploneis oestrupii" Hustedt, "Surirella oestrupii" Gran and "Navicula oestrupii" Cleve are named for him.
