Jonathan Goff (born December 12, 1985 in city-state|Atlanta|Georgia) is an American football linebacker for the New York Giants of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Giants in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. He played college football at Vanderbilt.

Early years

Goff played high school football at St. John's Preparatory School in Danvers, Massachusetts. During his career he played many positions including safety, wide receiver, quarterback, running back, and linebacker. He was an All-conference selection in 2001 and 2002. College career

Goff played college football at Vanderbilt University. After the 2006 season he earned Second team All-Southeastern Conference.

Professional career

New York Giants

Goff was drafted by the New York Giants in the fifth round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Goff fractured the transverse process in his back during the Giants' preseason opener vs. the Detroit Lions. This injury may affect his status for the season.
