Pavel Podkolzin (born January 15, 1985 in Novosibirsk, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union) is a Russian professional basketball player formerly in the NBA and the NBA Development League. He is a 2.26 m (7' 5"), 138 kg (305 lb) center.

Podkolzin made his debut with Lokomotiv Novosibirsk, in the Russian second division, during the 2001-02 season. He moved to Italy in December 2001, signed by Metis Varese, for which he played from 2002 to 2004. He was selected by the Utah Jazz in the 2004 NBA Draft and promptly traded to the Dallas Mavericks for their first-round pick in the 2005 NBA Draft (Utah later traded that pick to the Portland Trail Blazers, which used the pick to draft Linas Kleiza). He was originally available for selection in the previous year's draft, but abruptly pulled out just days before because he declared he was not yet ready to propel himself into the NBA. Podkolzin was considered to be a high draft pick in he 2004 draft because of his size, blocking ability and strength, but he was chosen late in the draft. On August 5, 2006, he was waived by the Mavericks after appearing briefly in just six games spanning two seasons. Podkolzin was a member of the Russian national team which won the silver medal at the 2000 European Cadets Championship.
