Keith Wilson is an English writer, musician, performance poet and broadcaster.
He signed his first recording contract aged 17 while serving an apprenticeship at Cammell Laird Shipbuilders in
Birkenhead . Aguitarist ,poet andauthor of peculiar songs, he continues to tour and record when his other commitments allow.He is well known in the UK for his sports poetry on television, having worked for
Sky Sports ,ITV Sport andBBC Sport , broadcasting from every major sporting event including theOlympic Games .During 2006, he joined under cover reporter
Donal MacIntyre as co-presenter on the third series of MacIntyre's Big Sting, broadcast on Channel Five.His work as Artistic Director of Masque Theatre, a nationally acclaimed disabled people’s performance company based in
Wirral , has yielded two national and eleven regional tours, plus numerous events of national and international significance.He has worked on numerous
Theatre-in-Education projects, performance events and festivals, including five consecutive years contributing to Liverpool Festival of Comedy. As part of the Millennium celebrations he was Creative Director of a major European Theatre Project (Culture 2000) across the UK, Spain, Italy and Finland.As a film maker, he has made numerous promotional and corporate films and three shorts for the cinema.
