Sir Gerald Stanhope Hanson, 2nd Baronet was born on 23 April 1867.
The son of former Lord Mayor of London, Sir Reginald Hanson, he was a British Army captain before choosing life as a country gentleman. He succeeded to the baronetcy on 18 April 1905, on the death of his father. [See [http://www.angeltowns.com/town/peerage/baronetsh1.htm Leigh Rayment's peerage pages here] for fuller details of this baronetcy.]
