Green Park railway station is a railway station in Reading, Berkshire, currently under construction.
Proposal, application and development
In July 2007, plans were announced to build a station on the Reading to Basingstoke Line in Reading, south of Southcote Junction. The proposed station would serve the GreenPark Business Park, the southern suburbs of Reading and also the Madejski Stadium. The station will initially be served by stopping services operated by First Great Western between Reading and Basingstoke, with an expected frequency of two trains per hour in each direction. Additional services may be provided on match days.
