Johnny April

Johnny "Old School" April (born March 27, 1968), is the bass guitarist and backing vocalist for the Alternative metal/Hard rock band Staind.

April was born in Enfield, Connecticut, where he worked autobody and cook before joining Staind.

John had a son born June 2, 1985 named John Francis April, Jr. that died of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) otherwise known as "Crib Death" on September 2, 1985 with Cheryl Kirk of Springfield, Massachusetts.

He currently plays a Spector bass. Staind
