- Athīr al-Dīn al-Abharī
Athīr al-Dīn Mufaḍḍal b. ʿUmar Abharī (d. 663/1264, according to
Barhebraeus in 1262) was a Persianphilosopher ,astronomer andmathematician from the city ofAbhar inPersia . His works include* "transl|ar|ALA|Kitāb al-Hidāyah": a book dealing with a complete cycle of Hikmat, i.e., logic, natural philosophy, and metaphysics.
* "transl|ar|ALA|Isāghūjī fi al-Manṭiq": a treatise onlogic which was still used as a textbook in the modern Islamic world.
* Five works on astronomy.
