- October 22 Group
-
The October 22 Group (Italian: Gruppo XXII Ottobre) was an Italian terrorist grouping, instituted on October 22, 1969.
It was led by Mario Rossi, who received a life sentence in 1973 for killing a messenger in September 1971.[1]
The Red Brigades in 1978 would demand the release of three of the October 22 members from prison, in exchange for the release of Italian prime minister Aldo Moro, who the Red Brigades had captured and later shot.[2]
October 22 Group is also the trading name for O22G LLP, a partnership of anti money laundering consultants formed in the UK in 2011.References
