Indiana . Waycross began as a game hunting ranch by Professor Amati Smith. Professors from nearby Indiana University would go to hunt exotic animals such as Eagles and Crocodiles which they would purchase from zoos and circuses. However, this practice soon became frowned upon. After this it became a prospering logging community until the depression. The end of the logging industry meant death for the town.Geography
