Its seat is the town of Torzym, which lies approximately convert|16|km|mi|0 south of Sulęcin, convert|49|km|mi|0|abbr=on south of Gorzów Wielkopolski, and convert|51|km|mi|0|abbr=on north-west of Zielona Góra.
