The card is being developed by Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive (GMPTE), a member of the Integrated Transport Smartcard Organisation. The card is to be trialled as an add-on to the existing Bolton Citizen Card smartcard that has been issued to residents of the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton.
