André Benoit (born January 6, 1984) is a professional ice hockey player from St. Albert, Ontario. He played 5 years in the OHL, all with the Kitchener Rangers. In 2008-09, he will play in the Elitserien for Södertälje SK [http://www.sodertaljesk.se/0708nyheter.asp?NPK=2724#2724] .

Undrafted in the NHL, he signed with the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL in the summer of 2005. On January 9, 2006, he signed a two-year entry level contract with the Montreal Canadiens [http://canadiens.nhl.com/team/app?articleid=333483&page=NewsPage&service=page] after playing the first part of the season with their farm team in the AHL. Benoit spent the rest of that season and the next season with Hamilton Bulldogs
Hamilton before signing with Tappara Tampere of the SM-Liiga in 2007-08 after his contract ended.

The Montreal Canadiens still own his NHL rights until July 1, 2011.
