The Radioactive Chicken Heads are a rock band originally from Orange County, California.

The band's punky, garagey sound has been called "genetically modified rock." [cite web

They are best known for their theatrical live shows, which they perform in costume as various mutant combinations of human bodies with chicken heads except for the lead singer, Carrot Topp and guitarist Cheri Tomato, who are portrayed as giant vegetable people.

Originally named Joe and the Chickenheads, the band first formed in 1994. After producing a few cassettes in the 90s, they appeared on a number of compilation CDs, including "Hey Brother 4," which was called the album that saved OC rock in 1998. [cite web

In November 2006 the Radioactive Chicken Heads made their national TV debut on The Tyra Banks Show.
