Vehicle registration plates of Lithuania are composed of three letters and three numbers (e.g. ABC 123), The registration plates are coloured black letters on a white background, and are the same size and length as other European plates. All modern Lithuanian plates are issued with the blue EU identification label.
History
The first Lithuanian registration plates (1991) would have been composed of three letters and three numbers. After Lithuania joined the EU, a small Lithuanian national flag was changed to European flag

Currently car designations is not used, but used until 2004.

Diplomatic Corps
Reserved and used by diplomatic corps. Have green background and white letters. The letters grouped 01 3 123 and not have blue sidebar in the left. First two numbers denote embassy code.
The technical check sticker
Registration plate has a special spot in the middle to attach a sticker certifying the compulsory biannual technical inspection to check for compliance with safety/emissions standards.
