Lamellariinae is a subfamily of small slug-like snails, marine gastropod molluscs belonging to the family Velutinidae, in the clade Littorinimorpha.

Description

The shells are thin, semitransparent and fragile, of few whorls, smooth and covered by a thin periostracum. The slug-like animal resembles a nudibranch but is in no way related. Both in texture and in coloration they are usually camouflaged to resemble the sponges and ascidians, among which they browse, feeding mostly upon the latter.
